An advisor with the club since 2019, Rollins is now special advisor to the president of baseball operations. The club announced Rollins’ assignment on Thursday night and said he would periodically assist the big-league club in an on-field capacity and advise the front office with baseball decisions.
Jimmy Rollins played 17 seasons for the Phillies, Dodgers and White Sox. He had a .264 batting average, 2,455 hits, 231 home runs, 936 RBIs and 1,421 runs scored. He won 4 Gold Glove awards, 1 MVP award, 1 Silver Slugger award and 1 World Series.

One of the fastest players in the game, Rollins consistently had about 30-40 stolen bases a year. Rollins also had a strong arm and was one of the top fielding shortstops in the game.
