Churchill wrote ‘Divi Britannici: Being a remark upon the lives of all the kings of this isle' which was published in 1660. After the Restoration, he sat as Member of Parliament for Weymouth and Melcombe Regis from 1661 to 1679 and for Lyme Regis from 1685 to 1688.
