St. Clare’s, Oxford was founded by Anne Dreydel OBE and Pamela Morris in 1953, and grew out of a scheme to establish links between British and European students after the Second World War. The original name was The Oxford English Centre for Foreign Students, which later became St. Clare’s Hall, and then St. Clare’s, Oxford.

Autumn Term 2023. Thursday 31 August. Arrivals Day for all new students on IB World School courses. Thursday 31 August – Sunday 3 September. IB Diploma (1st year) and Pre-IB Orientation. Sunday 3 September. Arrivals Day (10:00-20:00) for IB Diploma returners in Year 2. Monday 4 September. Classes begin at 09:00.
The programme develops collaborative and cooperative learning and includes a visit to a business in Oxford and presentations by a guest speaker with first-hand experience of the world of business. Age: 15-17 years old. Level: From upper intermediate (CEF B2) to very advanced (CEF C2) Start dates: 23 June 2024 and 21 July 2024.
