John de la Pole, segundo duque de Suffolk , KG (27 de setembro de 1442 - 14-21 de maio de 1492), foi un gran magnate da Inglaterra do século XV. He left his young widow with an estate of extensive property, including Donnington Castle. Young Alice married next in 1421, Thomas Montacute, 4th Earl of Salisbury, and when he died in 1428 she had yet more property to her credit. Finally, in 1430, she married William de la Pole, Earl and later Duke of Suffolk. In 1442, she bore him a son, John.

John de la Pole was born on 27 September 1442, only son and heir to William de la Pole, 1st Duke of Suffolk, and Alice Chaucer, the granddaughter of the poet Geoffrey Chaucer. John was therefore still only a child of seven when, on 7 February 1450, he was married to the six-year-old Lady Margaret Beaufort , though the Papal dispensation to marry was not signed until 18 August 1450.
