  1. Primary statistical areas (PSAs) include all combined statistical areas and any core-based statistical area that is not a constituent of a combined statistical area. Of the 25 statistical areas of Louisiana, 11 are PSAs comprising six combined statistical areas, two metropolitan statistical areas and three micropolitan statistical areas.

In 2023, [7] the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued new revised delineations for Combined Statistical Areas that included a 2022 population estimate of 3,333,992 for the new Charlotte–Concord, NC–SC CSA (that now includes the Hickory-Lenoir-Morganton Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Marion, Albemarle and Shelby Micropolitan Statistical Areas).

The Erie–Meadville, PA Combined Statistical Area (CSA) is made up of two counties in northwestern Pennsylvania.The United States Office of Management and Budget [1] has recognized the Erie and Meadville areas along with the counties of Erie and Crawford to make a Combined Statistical Area, located in northwestern Pennsylvania.

The Mansfield–Ashland–Bucyrus, OH Combined Statistical Area is a CSA in the U.S. state of Ohio, as defined by the United States Census Bureau.It consists of the Mansfield Metropolitan Statistical Area (Richland County); and the Bucyrus–Galion Micropolitan Statistical Area (Crawford County), and, since 2020, the Ashland Micropolitan Statistical Area (Ashland County).
