Starkey explores the role of the various conquests, from the Roman conquest to the Norman conquest, in shaping the long history of the country.
As the title says, Prince Edward is a very good narrator. However, I did not like the jumping of time periods. This is a nice "look at the history of this area of the UK" but they jump lots of time periods within the episodes so it's not a good chronological lesson.
