Two years later, a 20-year-old Kenny took on fellow countryman Sir Chris Hoy in the Olympic individual sprint final at Beijing 2008.
Jason Kenny became Team GB's most successful Olympian of all time after winning his ninth medal, and seventh gold, on the final day of Tokyo 2020.
