Eduardo el Viejo [nota 1] (en anglosajón: Ēadweard cyning; en francés: Edouard le Vieux) (n. 874-877-17 de julio de 924) fue rey de Wessex desde 899 hasta su muerte en 924.
Edward Strong the Elder (1652–1724) and Edward Strong the Younger (1676–1741) were a father and son pair of British sculptors mainly working in London in the 17th and 18th centuries. They led a team of 65 masons and were responsible for many important projects including the rebuilding of St Paul's Cathedral and Blenheim Palace .

Edward the Elder ruled the Anglo-Saxons from 899 to his death in 924. He was Alfred the Great’s eldest son with his wife, Ealhswith. Edward had to beat his cousin Aethelwold, who had a strong claim to the throne as the descendant of Alfred’s older brother and previous King Aethelred I, when he ascended to the throne, in order to take it.

Edward Plantagenet was the son of George Plantagenet, 1st Duke of Clarence and Isabel Neville, who was the elder daughter of Richard Neville, 16th Earl of Warwick. Edward was born on 25 February 1475 at Warwick, the family home of his mother. At his christening, his uncle King Edward IV stood as godfather.
