Established in 1818, Camden is a community with an interesting past and a bright future. We're conveniently located at the intersection of highways 127 and 725 in Preble County in SW Ohio with easy access to Oxford, Hamilton, Dayton, Cincinnati and Indiana.
Geography. Camden is a valley community, situated at the intersection of two state highways 127 & 725 and along Seven Mile Creek on the east and a 900 foot hillcrest known as Devil’s Backbone on the west.
Camden's Rich and Wonderful History. In 1803, the Hendricks family were the first settlers to arrive to this southwest Ohio area formerly occupied by Native Americans. Soon, the availability of land and forests and the abundance of water via Seven Mile and area creeks attracted more settlers.
