In a newly reimagined exhibit, Take Flight celebrates the historic United Airlines plane and explores how the airline industry connects people around the world. See a section of the 727 as it looked on its first flights in 1964.
The newly renovated Henry Crown Space Center presents the latest in space exploration and what it has taught us about our universe. A new exhibit within the Space Center features the SpaceX Dragon Spacecraft, a flight-proven vehicle that played a pivotal role in two missions, CRS-12 (2017) and CRS-17 (2019), delivering cargo and scientific experiments to the International Space Station (ISS).
The Chicago Museum of Science and Industry is not only one of the most famous landmarks of the Windy City, but also the largest science museum in the entire western hemisphere. Housed in the sole building that remains from the 1893 World’s Fair, the Museum of Science and Industry sits on 14 acres and is full of hands-on exhibits.
This Dragon spacecraft served a pivotal role in two SpaceX missions in 2017 and 2019, supplying the International Space Station with cargo and experiments including NASA’s Cosmic-Ray Energetics and Mass (ISS-CREAM). After completing these missions, this vehicle arrived at Griffin MSI in a sneak preview ceremony in December 2022.
