A lot of people can look up to him because they aspire to "do what they love" and he is someone who loves what they do AND became super successful. He's a cutified symbol of a company that gives us nice things. Because he's Santa. Gabe got our attention with the Half Life series.
Gabe Logan Newell, pseud. Gaben (ur. 3 listopada 1962) – współzałożyciel i dyrektor Valve Software . Newell przez 13 lat pracował w przedsiębiorstwie Microsoft [2]. Po odejściu założył Valve Software w 1996 wraz z Mikiem Harringtonem i innym byłym pracownikiem Microsoftu. Razem z Harringtonem sfinansowali produkcję gry Half-Life [3].
Worth the Weight. "Worth the Weight" is a phrase derived from another Gabe Newell comment from the Team Fortress 2 commentary node. The original line, however, did not use the word "weight", but rather "wait": "After 9 years in development, hopefully it would have been worth the wait. " It is often used to mock Gabe's weight and large physique.
