Jun 2021. This fun stop was the Haines Shoe House. It was built by a shoe salesman named Mahlon Haines in 1948 as a promotional gimmick to sell shoes. It worked! Touring the house was interesting. It was like an early “tiny house” with 3 bedrooms, kitchen, living room and bathrooms. The history is fascinating.
