Charles Langbridge Morgan (22 January 1894 – 6 February 1958) was an English-born playwright and novelist of English and Welsh parentage. The main themes of his work were, as he himself put it, Art, Love, and Death, and the relation between them.

Charles Morganin isä Sir Charles Langbridge Morgan oli ammatiltaan rautatieinsinööri. Nuoruus. Vuonna 1907 Morgan liittyi Kuninkaalliseen laivastoon ja kouluttautui Osbornen sekä Dartmouthin merisotakouluissa. Hän palveli merikadettina vuoteen 1913 asti. Tuolloin hän pyrki opiskelemaan Oxfordiin.

Charles Langbridge Morgan was born in 1894 to Sir Charles Langbridge Morgan, civil engineer, and Mary Polly Watkins (d. 1906/7). He served in the Royal Navy during the First World War, during which time he was captured and held as a prisoner of war in Holland, before being paroled to live in a cottage on the Rosendaal estate in Gelderland.
