Sylvia Pankhurst nasceu na Inglaterra em 1882, no seio de uma família acomodada, mas de tradição socialista. Junto a sua mãe Emmeline e sua irmã Christabel, conhecidas como “As Pankhurts”, se transformaram em um símbolo do movimento feminista, por sua luta pelo direito ao voto para as mulheres.
