13 de mai. de 2021 · Shakespeare’s last direct descendant was Elizabeth, born to Susanna and John Hall in 1608. He left her most of his silver plate (easily convertible into cash if she wished). She married Thomas Nash and they lived in New Place. After he died she married John Barnard, a prosperous widower with several children, in 1649.

Following the death of her first husband, Thomas Nash in 1647, Elizabeth Hall Nash, Shakespeare’s granddaughter, married John Barnard of Abington, near Northampton, on June 5, 1649. A month later, her mother Susanna also died .

Elizabeth Vane, Lady Barnard, formerly Lady Elizabeth Holles (c. 1657 – 9 November 1725) was an English noblewoman, the wife of Christopher Vane, 1st Baron Barnard. Her disputes with her family led to a noted court case, and her ghost is reputed to haunt Raby Castle , near Durham.
