Edmund Tudor, Duke of Somerset (21 February 1499 – 19 June 1500) was an English prince, and the sixth child of King Henry VII of England and his wife, Elizabeth of York. He was styled from birth Duke of Somerset , but never formally created a peer .
Edmundo Tudor, Duque de Somerset (em inglês: Edmund Tudor, Duke of Somerset; Palácio de Greenwich, 21 de fevereiro de 1499 — Palácio de Hatfield, 19 de junho de 1500) era um príncipe inglês e o sexto filho do rei Henrique VII de Inglaterra e sua esposa Isabel de Iorque.
Edmundo Tudor, 1.er Conde de Richmond (c. 1430 – 1 de noviembre de 1456) fue el padre del rey Enrique VII de Inglaterra. Tudor había nacido en en Hertfordshire o Hadham en Bedfordshire, siendo hijo de Owen Tudor y de Catalina de Valois (anteriormente reina consorte del rey Enrique V de Inglaterra).
1 de jun. de 2022 · Edmund was the eldest son of Owen Tudor and Catherine of Valois (widow of Henry V and mother of Henry VI). He was born around 1430 in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire, and is sometimes known as Edmund of Hadham. Edmund was made Earl of Richmond by his step-brother, Henry VI, on 23rd November 1452 and his brother, Jasper, was made Earl of Pembroke.
When Edmund grew up, Henry kept him at his court. He was knighted by Henry on 15 Dec. 1449, summoned to parliament as Earl of Richmond 30 Jan. 1452-1453, and created Earl of Richmond and premier earl on 6 March 1452-3. In the parliament of 1453 he was formally declared legitimate. Henry made him large grants, particularly in 1454.
