30 de jul. de 2020 · Jackson Carlaw has stepped down as leader of the Scottish Conservatives. He said he wasn’t “the person best placed” to make the case for Scotland to remain in the UK. Carlaw was elected to the party’s top job in February after a spell as interim leader following Ruth Davidson’s resignation.

He’d been told to go and fill in until a victorious Scottish Tory MP was able to relieve him. He spent six and a half hours being filleted by Bernard Ponsonby. Carlaw has, he says, “done his shift”.
