Blood from the Mummy's Tomb, the final flourish of Hammer-style Egyptian horror, is definitely one of their most surreal, inspired and original outings. It has always been a favourite and as I crawl towards a jaded and cynical old age I still find the film fascinating and compelling.
Blood from the Mummy’s Tomb suffered from an extremely troubled production, which included the on set death of director Seth Holt five weeks into filming and the loss of Peter Cushing who had to leave to tend to his sick wife. All things considered, it didn't turn out too bad! The film is loosely based on a lesser known Bram Stoker story.
