Carl von Thieme (Erfurt, 30 de abril de 1844 — Munique, 10 de outubro de 1924) foi um empresário alemão, co-fundador das empresas alemães de seguros e serviços financeiros Munich Re (em 1880, junto com Theodor von Cramer-Klett e Wilhelm von Finck) e da Allianz (em 1890, junto com Wilhelm von Finck).
Carl von Thieme (born 30 April 1844, Erfurt – died 10 October 1924, Munich) was a German banker. His father was the director of German insurance company Thuringia.
Carl Thieme, ab 1914 Carl Ritter von Thieme, (* 30. April 1844 in Erfurt; † 10. Oktober 1924 in München) war ein deutscher Manager in der Versicherungswirtschaft, er war Mitbegründer von zwei großen deutschen Versicherungsunternehmen, der Münchener Rückversicherungs-Gesellschaft und der Allianz AG.
Carl Thieme (von Thieme from 1914) Co-founder of Munich Re and Chair of the Board of Management from 1880 to 1921. When Munich Re is established in 1880 as Münchener Rück, there is already intense competition in the market. From 1871–1872 alone, thirteen new reinsurers were founded in Germany, Switzerland and Austria-Hungary.

Allianz AG was founded in Berlin on 5 February 1890 by the then-director of the Munich Reinsurance Company Carl von Thieme (a native of Erfurt, whose father was the director of the Thuringia insurance company) and Wilhelm von Finck (co-owner of the Merck Finck & Co. Bank).
