It is the sole game played on Sunday evenings during the MLB regular season and is broadcast to a national television audience. In effect, it is the successor of the old Game of the Week telecasts that were crucial in bringing major league baseball to a nationwide audience starting in the late 1950s .

3 de out. de 2018 · Jon “Boog” Sciambi is the voice of Sunday Night Baseball for MLB on ESPN Radio, describing ESPN’s game of the week alongside analyst Doug Glanville. Sciambi joined ESPN full time in 2010 as the play-by-play voice for MLB on ESPN Radio, while continuing the same role for college basketball and MLB on ESPN, which he has done since 2005.

I have no way to quantify this, but I think baseball fans tend to mainly support their own team, while nfl and nba viewers are fans of both their team and the sport.
