Henry James (Nueva York, 15 de abril de 1843-Londres, 28 de febrero de 1916) fue un escritor y crítico literario estadounidense, nacionalizado británico, reconocido como una figura clave en la transición del realismo al modernismo anglosajón, cuyas novelas y relatos están basados en la técnica del punto de vista, que permite el análisis psicológico de los personajes desde su interior.
