Alfred D'Orsay Tennyson Dickens (28 October 1845 – 2 January 1912) Alfred was named after his two godfathers Alfred, Lord Tennyson and Alfred, Count d'Orsay. His father nicknamed him "Sampson Brass" and "Skittles" Like most of the Dickens children, Alfred failed to achieve much in his life.

The articles from Household Words and All the Year Round were widely published in the Australian press and helped to impose Dickens's own view of Australia on Australian life and society. Dickens died on 9 June 1870. Of his surviving sons, Alfred D'Orsay Tennyson (b.1845), had migrated to Australia in 1865.

Charles John Huffam Dickens (født 7. februar 1812, død 9. juni 1870) var en engelsk, victoriansk forfatter, født i Landport ved Portsmouth. I 1814 flyttede familien til London og senere til Chatham.
