  4. James D. Wallace is a scholar of American literature at Boston College, where has been on the faculty since 1985. Since receiving his doctorate from Columbia, he has published on a wide array of topics in American literature culture.

  5. James D. Wallace was born in 1904 in Gloster, MS and received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Mississippi. In 1926 he was appointed a junior physicist at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratories in Washington, D.C., where he spent his entire professional career until his retirement in 1970.
