The UK-based V2 continued to release records for the next few years, and also developed Cooperative Music, a branch which distributed and aided smaller independent labels. With Universal's purchase of EMI in 2012, it sold Cooperative to PIAS the following year. As of 2020, only V2 Benelux releases new music under the V2 label.
