David Lindesay-Bethune, the 15th Earl of Lindsay, died in 1989 and was buried at Kilconquhar Church in the Lindsay Mausoleum. He was a great steam engine enthusiast and proud owner of a magnificent Nigel Gresley, Class K5, locomotive, “The Great Marquess”, which was built 85 years ago in 1938.
