Synopsis. Aspiring writer Vera (Alicia Vikander) bypasses her parents’ wishes to see her married and wins a scholarship to Oxford University. Before enrolling, she begins a romance with fellow literary soul Roland (Kit Harington). But before they can fulfil their academic and romantic potential, they are plunged headfirst into war.
