Henry and Catherine Carey were the children of Mary Boleyn, Anne’s sister who was Henry’s mistress in the early 1520s.

5 de ago. de 2016 · Henry Fitzroy (1519-36) was the illegitimate son of Henry and his mistress Elizabeth Blount, and he was, according to Hall’s Chronicle, ‘well brought up, like a prince’s child’. In 1525, worried about the succession, the king seriously considered making the boy his heir.
At Christmas Fitzroy was given a suite of rooms at Windsor that were usually used by the Prince of Wales, Princess Mary as Princess of Wales was given a less important suite, which shows how much Henry thought of his illegitimate son. They were — in birth order — Henry, Duke of Cornwall (1511), Mary I (1516), Henry Fitzroy, Duke of Richmond and Somerset (1519), Elizabeth I (1533), and Edward VI (1537). However, many of Henry’s children did not live very long.
