Bedales is set in the heart of the South Downs National Park in Steep, near Petersfield, Hampshire. Our campus is easily accessible via the A3 or the A272; exit at the junction signposted services/Petersfield Industrial Estate. Our address is Bedales School, Church Road, Steep, Petersfield, GU32 2DG.
The ISI is appointed by the Department for Education (DfE) to inspect independent schools in England. Its inspections report to the DfE on the extent to which the statutory Independent School Standards are met. Schools undergo a scheduled inspection, on average, every three years. Bedales’ previous inspection was in 2018.

Bedales comprises three schools situated in Steep, Hampshire (UK): Dunannie (ages 3–8), Dunhurst (ages 8–13) and Bedales itself (ages 13–18). The vision of Bedales' founder, John Badley, was to create a school which would be profoundly different from the public schools of his day.
Bedales is pleased announce the launch of multi-activity school holiday camps delivered by Active Camps, with the first set to take place during May half term (Tuesday 28 – Friday 31 May). Suitable for children aged between four (in Reception) and 14, the camps are designed to create memorable experiences and are packed with fun, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
