Robert FitzRoy (5 de julho de 1805 — 30 de abril de 1865) foi o capitão do navio HMS Beagle, durante a famosa viagem de Charles Darwin. Henry Fitzroy, the young Duke of Richmond and Mary Howard’s late husband was buried there in 1533. Of course, on account of the Dissolution, Fitzroy’s tomb, and eventually those of the 3rd Duke and the Earl of Surrey, ended up at the new family mausoleum at Framlingham Church, in Suffolk, adjacent to another Howard stronghold – Framlingham Castle.
