The reason Tony Stark and Punisher resonate with me is because they are the few "natty" marvel heroes that are just BAD ASS humans kicking everyone's A$$. No super powers, no DNA modifications, no mutations. Just straight up, bad ass human beings. I've seen the other portrayals and Bernthal is now the Punisher for me.
