  1. 3 de jun. de 1996 · Essentially, Spiritchaser is a summing up rather than a push forward; it features all the usual elements of a Dead Can Dance album instead of further explorations to see what else could be done. Toward the Within contributors Ronan O'Snodaigh and Lance Hogan, as well as previous collaborator Peter Ulrich, appear on some tracks here, most specifically on the opening "Nierika" and "Dedicace Outro."

  3. Spiritchaser. Review Summary: A very good tribal African themed album, with especially great percussion and singing. Spiritchaser is often considered to be one of Dead Can Dance’s weakest albums but apart from the reason that it’s very different to their earlier work and not as ethereal, I’ve never understood why.

  6. Dead can dance too. This group is in love with sounds and music. Spiritchaser is by far the best you can do in terms of sound and atmosphere. If I had to describe the best sounding album I would like to be recorded, it would have been that one. This is more than music, it is a divine experience, a mystic travel to our deepest origins.

  7. 17 de jun. de 1996 · Although I get that feeling somewhat when listening to this, even more importantly I get the feeling that this amazing body of work Dead Can Dance has created over the years lives on into the future. This is the perfect parting gift to the fans, a sublimely awesome ethnic, ambient, tribal journey through the world with some of their most biting lyrics yet courtesy of Perry.
