Kurt Vonnegut Jr. (/ ˈ v ɒ n ə ɡ ə t / [1]; Indianápolis, 11 de novembro de 1922 — Manhattan, 11 de abril de 2007) foi um escritor norte-americano de ascendência germânica.
Family and early life. Vonnegut was born in Indianapolis on November 11, 1922, the youngest of three children of Kurt Vonnegut Sr. (1884–1956) and his wife Edith (1888–1944; née Lieber). His older siblings were Bernard (1914–1997) and Alice (1917–1958).
