The show centered on the lives of the Kanisky Family in Glenlawn, CA, headed by Carl (Dolph Sweet), the widowed Chief of Police in town.
Gimme a Break!: Criado por Mort Lachman, Sy Rosen. Com Nell Carter, Lara Jill Miller, Lauri Hendler, Kari Michaelsen. Nell agrees to look after the Kanisky's home, as a special favor to her dying friend, and takes on the role of housekeeper to widowed police chief Carl and a parental figure to his three teenage daughters, and eventually a foster son.
