Nicolaas "Nico" Bloembergen (March 11, 1920 – September 5, 2017) was a Dutch - American physicist. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1981. He won the award with Arthur Schawlow and Kai Siegbahn. He won the prize for his works in laser spectroscopy.
