  2. 22 de mai. de 2018 · Wounded in the leg during the Rising, and probably already dying from shrapnel wounds, Connolly was tied to a chair and shot by a firing squad in Kilmainham Gaol in Dublin on May 12, 1916. Thus died a martyr for the cause of Irish freedom who is revered in that country to this day, and always will be.
