29 de nov. de 2020 · Thieves Like Us is based on a neglected, long-out-of-print 1937 novel by Edward Anderson — the novel that Nicholas Ray’s 1948 picture They Live by Night was derived from. (Edward Anderson won a literary prize with his first novel, Hungry Men, in 1935, and then, as far as I can determine, published Thieves Like Us and disappeared from the writing world.
