2007 erschien mit Bender’s Big Score die erste Futurama-Produktion in Spielfilmlänge. 2008 folgten Die Ära des Tentakels und Bender’s Game, 2009 schließlich Leela und die Enzyklopoden. Als sogenannte Direct-to-DVD -Produktion wurden die vier Filme für den Heimkinomarkt erstellt und zuerst auf DVD veröffentlicht.

Teleplay. When Leela is insulted by a group of space-rednecks (like regular rednecks, but in space) she enters the Planet Express ship in a demolition derby. She emerges victorious, but when she brings the damaged ship home and the Professor sees the fuel gauge, he's enraged by the hit he's going to take at the Dark Matter pump.

Bender's Game is the third of the four Direct-to-DVD films and was released on 3 November, 2008 in Europe, 4 November, 2008 in the US and 10 December in Australia . For the first time, the Blu-ray (HD) edition of the films was released on the same date as the normal DVD . Guest stars include George Takei and Rich Little as themselves.
