Dora Lizette Irizarry (born January 26, 1955) is a senior United States District Court Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
United States District Court Judge for the Eastern District of New York. Born 1955 in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico. Federal Judicial Service: Judge, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of New York. Nominated by George W. Bush on April 28, 2003, to a seat vacated by Reena Raggi.
Since 2005, Judge Irizarry has presided over a drug re-entry court providing intensive post-conviction supervision to persons whose crimes were motivated by addiction to make them productive members of society and reduce recidivism.
