Her movies, including Bathing Beauty and Million Dollar Mermaid, featured elaborately choreographed swimming, diving, and waterskiing displays and underwater ballet sequences.
Esther Williams often stated that Million Dollar Mermaid was her favorite film. There must be some truth to it, as she named her autobiography after it.
