Abberley Hall as it stands was constructed in c.1844 as a Victorian country house. Designed by Samuel Whitfield Daukes, it replaced an older 18th century country manor house in disrepair.

The purchase of the 93-acre site was completed around two weeks ago. Abberley Hall School came under financial pressure in February 2023 due to significant financial losses and Malvern College's unable to support the school's costs.
