The 6th Marquess of Anglesey was Lord Chamberlain to Queen Mary from 1922 until his death in 1947. [1] In the 1928 New Year Honours, he was appointed Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO). [3] In 1931, he was invested as an Officer in the Order of Saint John, [4] and promoted to Commander of the Order in 1944.
