The College is especially well-served in both Modern Languages and Politics, and Fellows in these subjects have intersecting interests with History Fellows, so Caius is an ideal place to study the new joint courses. History and Politics is anchored in a first-year paper called ‘Evidence and Argument’ in which Caius Fellows play a central role.

Caius Archive collects, documents, and provides long–term access to records illustrating the history of the College and its members. It is an important resource for researchers and a platform for periodic exhibitions on the history of the College and other themes in intellectual history.
Gonville & Caius has a magnificent Library which serves both the needs of the College community and the research interests of scholars from all over the world. Since 1996 it has been housed in the 19th-century Grade 1 listed Cockerell Building, originally the University Library.

The College’s vibrant community comprises of around 850 undergraduates and graduate students, 110 Fellows and academic staff, and almost 200 staff members. Our students come from all over the world and our undergraduates study all the subjects offered in the University. Our postgraduates play a vital role in the research activities of the wider University.
Caius has a more intimate feel than some of the other colleges and there is definitely a sense that the Caius lawyers are a family. You will always have the support you need to do well here – be it discussing different approaches to an essay on your way to a supervision with friends or your supervisors providing extra sessions to help hone your exam skills.
