Queen's Royal College was opened on March 25, 1904 at Queen's Park West by Governor Sir Alfred Maloney, who described it as "magnificent" and "handsome." Built at a cost of £15,000, the building was designed by DM Hahn, chief draughtsman in the Department of Public Works, who was himself a QRC old boy and the father of QRC boys.

Note: Students are required to wear the appropriate College uniform, bearing in mind that a neatly worn uniform reflects pride in Queen’s Royal College and lends distinction to the wearer’s general appearance. Students participating in informal strenuous activity during break periods must NOT play in their regular College uniform.
Queen’s Royal College is considered to be the most striking of the buildings of the Magnificent Seven. 10 de abr. de 2021 · Completed at a cost of £15,000, the design of Queen’s Royal College was based on the German Renaissance style, which was influenced by Daniel Hahn’s experience while he was in Germany. The new building was without equal in Trinidad as it boasted a clock tower 93 feet tall, which housed the King Edward VII Memorial Clock.
