Henry James was born on April 15th, 1843. He was born in Washington Place in New York City. His father was Henry James Sr. and his mother was Mary Walsh. His father was a lecturer. His mother came from an opulent family of New York. He had four siblings and was the elder among all of them. He had one sister Alice.
