The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute represents the culmination of Lee’s development as a director, teacher, and pioneer in actor training. As a result, The Institute teaches what Lee Strasberg considered to be a comprehensive approach to solving the actor’s fundamental problems.
The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute® is the only school in the world that offers the authentic training in The Lee Strasberg Method ™. Created by Lee Strasberg, our programs offer the professional and artistic tools for every actor to reach their maximum potential.
The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute® is one cohesive school, founded by Lee Strasberg with the same educational mission and the same high standard of actor training. Both campuses teach Lee Strasberg’s Method in its purest form and offer the same core classes. Elective classes, however, will vary at each campus and are subject to change.
With 22 hours of classes per week, this program emphasizes the fundamental aspects of The Method while ensuring concentrated but broad-based instruction in voice, movement, and theatre history. Upon successful completion of this program, students can apply their coursework toward the Two Year Conservatory (Certificate Program).
In addition to Saturday and After-School classes during the traditional school year, the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute offers summer day camps and intensives for students in grades 2-12. Our Young Actors summer programs are designed to encompass students at all levels and provide foundational training in Lee Strasberg’s world renowned Method Acting technique.
