Absynthe Minded begon als een soloproject van zanger Bert Ostyn, maar groeit later uit tot een quintet. Op het debuutalbum Acquired Taste presenteert de Belgische band voor het eerst een unieke crossover van pop, jazz, soul en Balkan-muziek. In 2021 viert de band uit Gent het twintigjarig bestaan met het achtste studioalbum Saved Along The Way.
