1 de jan. de 2016 · A life story told in parts that make the whole of a talented actor and a caring human being. Funny, touching, heartbreaking and thought provoking, this book soothes the soul. I listened to the audiobook, which was read by the author and didn’t want this book to end, I enjoyed it so much.
8 de ago. de 2017 · But now, along comes A Life In Parts – and suddenly I’m reading about a whole other Bryan, one who performs weddings in airplanes and camps out at mortuaries. This Bryan bathes in the blood of chickens and stuffs mackerels in air vents.
The title A Life in Parts can be interpreted to mean “parts” as in “pieces,” vignettes of a life well-lived, but it more likely refers to the “roles” Cranston has played throughout his life that are used to divide the memoir into chapters—paperboy, security guard, minister, explorer, son, husband, father, and, of course, actor.
'A Life in Parts' is a fascinating, engrossing and entertaining read from Bryan Cranston about his life up until his stage show about LBJ. It covers his early life, an epic road trip with his brother, both his marriages, his acting career and more besides and has some wonderful insights into how he approaches life and his acting roles.
