Then when you look at Self Titled its taking that sound and exploring the experimental side and darker side of the influence on them such as Robert Smith from the Cure. Also, the band was older in their mid-30s. ST is an experimental alternative album in my opinion and not pop punk which is very much what Blink 182 is known for.
