Sarah Franklin Bache (September 12, 1788 – October 6, 1863), married Thomas Sergeant (1782–1860), who later was appointed as an associate justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and postmaster of Philadelphia.
Sarah Bache was the only daughter of Benjamin Franklin and his common-law wife Deborah Read. She helped raise funds and sew uniforms for the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War and was praised by the Marquis de Chastellux.
